CLI
Every visotalk command, what it does and what it costs.
visotalk is an npm package. Run it as npx visotalk@latest <command>; keep @latest, because a copy installed earlier would
run instead. Or install it once with npm i -g visotalk@latest.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
doctor [--fix] | Checks what rendering needs (Chrome, the narration voice, the word-timing model, Python, ffmpeg); --fix installs what it can into ~/.visotalk |
validate doc.tsx | Syntax, references, anchors and styles; one issue per line at doc.tsx:line:col |
prepare doc.tsx | Narration audio per line and word times; seconds |
sheet doc.tsx | One frame per beat as a contact sheet |
still doc.tsx --beat scene/beat | One full-size frame (1920×1080), or --time <seconds> |
design doc.tsx scene | The design of one scene, one question at a time |
review doc.tsx scene | Your answers about the still of a scene |
check doc.tsx | Renders sampled frames twice, the second time in random order, and compares them: the determinism check |
qa doc.tsx | Overflow, clipping, overlap and reveal timing on sampled frames; exit code 1 on any issue |
render doc.tsx | The video, .visotalk/<id>/out/final.mp4; minutes. Refuses until every scene has a passing review |
build doc.tsx | The web player as static files |
play doc.tsx | The live player in your browser |
preview doc.tsx Component | One imported component alone, at given times |
schema | The vocabulary the validator knows: objects, motions, patterns, fields |
Work files go to .visotalk/<id>/ beside the document. VISOTALK_HOME moves ~/.visotalk (keep the path short: narration
fails under a path over about 90 characters), and VISOTALK_CHROME, KOKORO_DIR, VISOTALK_PYTHON and TORCH_HOME override
what doctor installed.
